This rainy day at the beach in Oahu Hawaii is still one of my very favorite sessions to date. I met Taylor on a local facebook page while living in Oahu, Hawaii. She and I both were new to island living, loved photography, and being in the ocean. We decided to meet up for a laid back beach session and convinced our guys to tag along with us!

We happened to choose a day when the entire island was TOTALLY down pouring in rain. Luckily the weather lightened up just as we arrived to the beach in Kaneohe. I could tell these two were my kind of people right away because they did not shy away from getting in the water for photos. Poor Cobian had sand all the way up his jeans by the time we were done shooting! But we had a super fun afternoon and created some gorgeous, carefree photos!

My rainy day at the beach in Oahu, Hawaii with these two was such a great reminder that the best photos are made when you let loose and just have fun! Rolling around in the sand, running through the water, and kissing in the rain can lead to some romantic and emotive photos. Trust the process and trust your photographer at your next couple’s shoot.
