Sunrise on the beach is such a magical time of day and always a favorite for couples sessions. The ocean waves are so calm and peaceful and the morning light is soft and romantic. There usually aren’t too many people around that early in the morning either. Even if you aren’t an early bird, it’s worth waking up for.

I met up with Lex and Cade to explore this beach cove before the sun was fully in the sky. The air was a little brisk so these two stayed cuddled up close until the morning light finally broke over the top of the horizon. When it did the whole cove lit up in the most beautiful and soft morning light. It was one of the most dreamy mornings I have seen in awhile.

We spent our time together exploring the rocks, playing on the shoreline, and getting cozy on an air mattress we brought with us. One of the best parts about sunrise on the beach sessions is that after we are done shooting you have all day to spend together. I highly recommend taking a whole day to go on a fun date either before or after your scheduled photos.
