In July 2021 Brandon and I found out we would be moving to Fort Irwin in Southern California. We were immediately excited for all the possibilities and California adventures in our new home. Come October 1st we were on the road and ready to start California living. After a quick stop in Palm Springs to see the windmills we arrived in our new desert home and were in love with all the scenery. We got settled into our new house and started making friends right away. With Fort Irwin being such a central location to so many amazing places I started planning trips right away.

Our first stop was to Yosemite National Park to explore the valley and see Taft point for the first time. It was amazing to see the iconic views of El Capitan, Half Dome, and Glacier Point in person. We loved the experience so much we planned a second trip up with friends only a month later.

The second place we had to visit was Disneyland. We actually decided to get Magic Key Annual Passes since we would be living just 2 hours away from the parks. Brandon had never been to Disneyland before so it was really fun to show him around the parks. We have since visited Disney a couple times a month and become avid pin traders in the park.

The last place on the list to visit before the end of fall was Joshua Tree National park, which I visited on my own for a quick content day. The views were gorgeous and although it was a quick day trip it will definitely be somewhere we go again! The first 3 months in our new home brought so many amazing California adventures and we are so excited for the ones yet to come!
